InfoComm CTS Certification Program and ANSI Accreditation

InfoComm is pleased to continue the growth in recognition, acceptance, and availability of the audiovisual (AV) professional Certified Technology Specialist (CTS®) certification program that is recognized worldwide as the leading AV specialist credential. The InfoComm CTS, CTS-Design (CTS-D) and CTS-Installation (CTS-I) certifications are accredited through the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ISO/IEC 17024 certification of personnel as administered in the United States by American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This accreditation achievement is the culmination of a multi-month process to verify compliance with requirements outlined in the internationally accepted standards for assessing personnel certification programs (ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024) and for the operation of accreditation bodies (ISO/IEC 17011).

Many exciting changes have taken place with InfoComm Certification as enhancements are continuously made in the development, recognition, and resulting value of the CTS credentials both within the U.S. and worldwide. InfoComm's leadership established the InfoComm independent Certification Committee, composed of professional audiovisual volunteers to guide and administer all aspects of the CTS certification program. Computer-based exams are provided at professional testing centers worldwide. The exam development and delivery process is continually under review and improvement utilizing subject matter experts under the guidance of professional exam development experts, which enhances the level of credibility and defensibility of the CTS credentialing program. The agreement to abide by the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct is now part of the initial application and an Ethics and Disciplinary Committee investigates violations, issues sanctions as warranted, and publishes sanctions on the InfoComm website.
